    Between 2020 and 2022 we've been supporting Avios in a Lead Design capacity. Working from the ground up on an exciting greenfield eCommerce platform to replace a range of old systems.

    The new platform had to cater for multiple airline brands including British Airways, Aer Lingus, Iberia and Vueling to name a few. Care was taken at every stage to ensure that the designs were as bespoke as possible while still a true whitelabel solution.

    The platform needed to be able to display different types of products ranging from Hotel stays, through to Experiences and Car Hire, while still maintaining a consistent look and feel.

    All design elements across the project are supported by a robust Atomic-like design system, custom built from the ground up.

    To help developers and stakeholders understand how things should look, feel, react and move we created a range of fully interactive and animated prototypes.
  • Future thinking

    In addition to delivering on the basic functionality that was required, we also looked deeply into future improvements that could be made to the platform. Specifically in the form of different ways of browsing, such as inspirational content and strategies that could be leveraged to deliver this content over time.
